Katy.

Can you guess where my friends and I were going last night...?
.......no?
Well.
it was katy perry.
and it was awesome.
best concert i've ever been to.. maybe because i'm obsessed with her and i have been since warped tour... three years ago.. and even before that.

and I just found out that one of my friends in Austin is staying in the same hotel as katy perry. So a roadtrip may be in order... ;)

101.

I'm 21! I had a fun day yesterday, going out to dinner with some friends and then going to a BAR.
Holy moly, I'm old.
We played video games.
We are awesome.

100 and 21!

You guys... I turn 21 in 34 minutes.

And also, this is my 100th post.

99.

I had such a great weekend (including Monday surprisingly).
A group of friends and I went and celebrated my birthday early, and had so much fun! And then when I got home, I found out I got the nanny job I was hoping for!
Tomorrow is my 21st birthday. I can't believe it came so fast... for most people it comes slooooowly.
Some of my goals this week are to put up the items for my etsy shop (FINALLY), work on my katy perry outfit for her CONCERT, and you know study for my test on monday...
Not too shabby of a week.

Oh yea, and we visited THE ALAMO, which I had never been to despite living in Texas my whole life.
It was so exciting that we broke out our jazz hands.

Midnight Music

Tonight I am listening to Adele's He Won't Go while doing my stats homework.
Maybe this will be a new feature?
Late night homework+music recommendations.

Pictures coming Sunday or Monday!

What's your favorite music to listen to late at night?

Birthday Banner.

One week until I'm 21.
I'm having fun with some friends this weekend and decided that I want to have a photo excursion while we're out doing fun things!
So, I decided to make a banner with the help of one of my best friends!
And after a night, and an afternoon- we came up with this:

More pictures (and maybe a tutorial if anyone wants it) later!
Have a great Thursday!
And cross your fingers for me- I had a nanny interview today! Eek!

Some new things..

newshoes
raybans

Oooh I love summer jobs. :)
I am so pumped to have neutral heels! And I'm glad I waited instead of jumping on some of the ones that I've seen over the past couple months because these are puurrrrfect. They make me supah tall. And it kind of scares everyone who isn't used to seeing me above their shoulders (namely my parents and my boyfriend, and one of my tall girl friends). I'm short.
And my raybans are awesome. The end.
Oh yeah- and I upgraded!
Ignore my psychotic smile. I was happy.
Music wise, I've gotten some new albums as well! I finally bought Kid Cudi's 'Man on the Moon' album, and I love it. I wish I was going to his concert, and to make it worse- my boyfriend's going. Without me. So rude.
I also broke down and got the rest of the Mumford and Sons album because I love them.
And also... a couple of songs from Selena Gomez and the Scene.
Don't judge me.

(it's okay you can judge. i'll just be jammin away to poppy melodies)

4.

Yesterday was me and the boyfriend's four year anniversary.
Unfortunately this is the only picture we have, taken from an iPhone. Whatevs.
It was late, and we were both tired after seeing a play by Agatha Christie- 'And Then There Were None'. It was amazing! Love Agatha Christie and her ability to never let me know what's up.
Anyhow, it's crazy how fast time flies! Four years! We're almost in kindergarten! ;)
So happy to be with this guy, and hope we have many happy years ahead.
Happy Wednesday!

NatGeo: Moles

Tumblr_lm1fgrpvru1qza0fjo1_500_large
I'm a bit fairskinned, you could say, and living in Texas isn't always the best thing for my skin. The sun is always beating down on me, making me sweat, and causing new freckles and moles appear out of no where. I've noticed lately a couple new little moles on my arms, and it got me kind of freaked out. Because when I think moles, I also think oh no skin cancer. Maybe, I'm paranoid, but whatevs.
I'm house-sitting this week, and found myself reading a new edition of National Geographic, which is one of my favorite magazines ever. Anyways, in the NatGeo there was an article about moles. Go figure.
It turns out that people with a lot of moles may age slower than others [according to the King's College London]. This means fewer wrinkles! And a reduced risk of osteoporosis!
So, in summary, hurray moles!

So maybe I'll grow to love my moles... maybe.

4th of July Part Two!

I'm still getting the hang of my lovely film camera, but it makes me happy to find the gems in between the blurs! I tend to forget that when it gets dark, I should adjust for the lack of light.. which leads to blackness and blurriness. Oops.

Today, I spent the day dreaming and working. Tomorrow summer school begins and summer planning will rise to an all-time high. All my weekends are busy, and now my weeks will be too.

I hope you all are enjoying summer!

4th of July

Hello blog world, I hope you had a wonderful fourth of July!
Today was spent waking up bright and early to walk a couple blocks to our local parade (we live in a small town in a big city). Little kids on bicycles, old cars, and happy policemen started off the show! Unfortunately, I got all the pictures on my film camera...so I'll have to wait to see how those came out.
The rest of the day was spent swimming, and lounging, then some baking (if you can call it that).
So, I took some strawberries...
straw

Then I dipped them in melted white chocolate, and sprinkles!

A lovely red, white, and blue dessert.
I brought them to a get together with friends and there were none leftover! I found the idea on Pinterest, with no credit, but whoever came up with it was a genius!

Happy fourth!

Inspiration

Lately I've been nearly bursting to do something creative. Something always seems to be holding me back, and lately it's been money. You know how frustrating it is to be looking for something as simple as photo borders and see that they're ridiculously expensive? Well, that seemed silly to me. So, I decided to get creative at home, as opposed to in stores! So far, I haven't accomplished much, but I'm feeling better now that I'm at least being productive.

So, now I'm listening to Mumford and Sons, and pinning pins on pinterest like a mad woman. Can't help it. That site is addictive.

Hopefully I will report back soon with progress. :)

Happy early fourth of july, as well!
We will be heading down to the parade in the morning, and coming back dripping with sweat most likely! Hope you all have a wonderful one!
