What's New.

Nothing is new! I'm following my nice little routine. However, I have found myself falling into more Pinterest crafts because I literally have nothing else to do (I know I'm lucky!). Here are some little snapshots of my life.

Can you tell I have an obsession with the word 'real'? Must be a theme in my life right now. ;)

Hunter boots.

This summer I started working a lot more than I used to. That being said, I was also making a lot more money than I was used to (relatively speaking). So, I made a list of things I needed, as opposed to things I wanted. On this list, as it evolved from summer wear to winter preparation, were some Hunter Boots. However willing I was to throw down money for some brand new boots, I also wanted to start saving more money instead of spending it all. So. Ebay called my name. I got these babies for less than half the price! No scuffs anywhere, except a little on one of the buckles. No problem for me! Maybe I don't hate ebay so much after all.. :)

September.

I know. It's been September for 12 days already. But, I just made myself a new background for my computer.
The boyfriend and I walked down to Whole Foods the other night for dinner. I snapped this picture of Ristras for my dad, who I think of every time I see peppers. My dad has a funny saying that he breaks out whenever someone says it's chilly outside. Chili today- hot tamale! So lame, but it is a classic in our house. We had a gigantic poster of different peppers over our breakfast table in our old house that it also reminds me of.
It's going to be a good semester. I have classes three days a week, and I'm in love with all of them. My next step is to look for & receive an internship! Fingers crossed!

I dragged my friend Alex to an early dinner (for me) after class ended because I was starrrrrving. Then I finally finished one of my paintings. Pretty much in love because I have very limited painting ability. I did get some Pinterest inspiration, I will be honest. ;) But, I'm very happy with the results. Not sure where it's going to end up, though...

Anywho, Happy September.

Parking.

Is it weird that I feel like I spend a ton of time in my parking garage? Between getting myself to and from places, and letting friends in and out, and getting things from the car.. I spend a lot of time admiring all the pretty light that floats all through the concrete space. I always want to stop and take a picture of something, but generally I feel weird taking pictures of nothing. So, finally, I got the boyfriend to do "something interesting". So he did the muscle man pose. Kinda madly in love with these photos we snapped before people started driving on in. :) John wasn't as interested as I was. Obviously.

R. Minkoff

I have a big designer crush on Rebecca Minkoff. It came out of no where. This summer I started making more money than I'm used to... and started spending a lot of money on things I really needed.. You know how that goes, I'm sure. Anyways, I was waiting for a really great wallet to catch my eye because I'd had my Kate Spade one for yearsssss (I wear those suckers out). I checked GILT one day and WHAM BAM! There was a Rebecca Minkoff sale going on that I just checked for fun... um, hello gorgeous. I got the cutest coral wallet with gold studs, and polka dots on the inside... pretty much every trend I'm into right now. I am telling you that I love this wallet so much... I want to carry it alone, without my purse, and show everyone how great it is. BECAUSE IT IS GREAT. It is soft, and simple, but so beautiful. Not to mention- on sale! I digress. I was just stalking Rebecca Minkoff items on Nordstrom, and gosh there's so much I want! Guess I'll have to wait until I start making the big bucks.... which could be in a very long time. ;)

Cats.

The roommate got herself a kitten earlier this summer and it has been so fun watching him grow up to be a cat! Although he still acts like a kitten and bites like a kitten. Today, the boyfriend and I decided to give him a box to play with... then we made it into a tunnel... then we added another box. I have a feeling this is going to turn into a fun project for the boyfriend and ronald, the kitten. Had to share these adorable pictures I snapped of him watching his new mouse toy very closely. He is a hunter, that Ronald. Must be fun to be a cat.

Birthdays & Friendship.

There are some friends you have in your life that feel like they will always be there, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer... most of my friends are these friends. I am quite quite blessed to have these friends in my life, who outnumber the other friends, who are not really your friends at all. Anyhow one of these wonderful friends of mine just had her birthday, and I made her a silly video card through iMovie (the devil, basically). You may not get the joke- so I'll spell it out for you.. :) There's this saying that goes something like nobody likes you when you turn 23. I heard it a couple years back from a friend who was turning 23, and told me she secretly worried about the upcoming year. Silliness! But since then I've been ominously telling my friends that nobody likes you when you turn 23... hence, the joke. Love you, Whit.
