its MAY.

It's May!
Life is quick.
What have I been doing?
Working, and thinking a lot.

Last weekend, my brother came into town and we had a great brunch at Benjys. I'd never been there, and I was surprised at how hip it was! I say hip like an old person now. Its my new thing. I got the yummy breakfast plate- french toast, scrambled eggs, strawberries, crab cakes, potatoes. YUMMMZ.

I watched this short documentary last night. Really great. It motivated me to upload our own doc this morning!
If you're curious, our student-made documentary called Houston's Pursuit of Hoppiness can be found here.

We're going camping this week, and I am psyched to get out of the city!

What are y'all up to this week?

Architects of Air

Last Thursday evening, me and the roommate ventured over to Discovery Green Downtown to check out Architects of Air. It looks like a giant bouncy castle, but its made up of a very thin plastic called PVC and its basically just a plastic cathedral light house... but, really. You have to take off your shoes (my fav part, actually... haha), but you get to keep your cameras. Check out the video below to see it...

I would definitely recommend going if it comes to your city! We frolicked through the pods, pretending we were in another world. You can start to feel a bit alien-esque...

End of April.

AH, the end of April is upon us. I don't know what to say. I don't even know what to DO. I have plans that will last me until the end of summer, but then WHAT you guys?! I don't even know. Post graduate life is weirding me out, its so fluid. I can do whatever I want (within reason, of course) and I can't handle the decision-making! It'd be nice if someone could just take what I want to do and mold it into something doable. Anyone have a job like that? Life coaches do exist...

SO ANYWAY, stress aside, its been a good month. I was appreciated for Administrative Professional's Day on Wednesday with a bouquet of CANDY. I can't even handle that. It was so nice. I've been scrapbooking up a crazy storm the past couple of weeks. I finally have most of the pictures where I want, so the fun part is about to happen! It has been a long process. I keep telling myself I will never have to do this again, but i know I won't keep up again and in five years I'll be doing it all over again.

How was your April?

Cade Martin.

I don't get blown away by photographers very much lately, not that I don't get blown away by specific pictures... but photographers as a whole. Until Cade Martin. Just someone I stumbled upon a while ago, and liked on facebook... every time he updates his feed I am speechless. Speechless.

Its very obvious the type of images I like of his... some fog, lots of greenery, and pretty people. Anywho, if you're interested check out his facebook page, or his website. He did an advertising campaign for tazo tea among other things. CAN'T. GET. ENOUGH.

So inspired to shoot. (:
