This TED talk was so great. Everyone should watch it.
As a twenty-something myself, this talk is super relatable and so helpful. I get so stressed thinking about the future, and I am always procrastinating.
It is time to invest in some identity capital, y'all.
I don't get blown away by photographers very much lately, not that I don't get blown away by specific pictures... but photographers as a whole. Until Cade Martin. Just someone I stumbled upon a while ago, and liked on facebook... every time he updates his feed I am speechless. Speechless.
Its very obvious the type of images I like of his... some fog, lots of greenery, and pretty people. Anywho, if you're interested check out his facebook page, or his website. He did an advertising campaign for tazo tea among other things. CAN'T. GET. ENOUGH.
I took some photos of myself the other day with a bit of a cinderella feel in mind (theme shoots are fun, okay?). But, when I started to play around with editing.. I decided to quote Through the Looking Glass. Because I love Lewis Carroll's quirky writing. And I love Alice in Wonderland... maybe not the disney version...
I couldn't decide whether or not to post these because, to be honest, I am not at the point where I ever feel finished with a photo. I'm still learning tons about editing and photography, so at the moment I'm just enjoying this whole process. Quite, quite fun. Especially when its on your own face. Anyhooooww these were quite simple to make in actuality-just a different background and some text- but I love them. So now I'm off my soapbox.
There is nothing harder for me in the world than spending money (sometimes). I tend to shop in bursts rather than a little here and a little there. Over the past couple of months I've been collecting little prints and paintings that I want to buy for my room on my Artzy Pinterest Board. I've found a bunch that I love, and now am itching to buy them! Here's the round-up:
Now to start buying... one at a time... so painful. ;)
So far this semester is dramatically different than the last.
No science or math classes. This is a first. Ever.
Instead of slaving over homework, I find myself editing on Photoshop and/or writing.
Twice a week, I nearly kill myself in cycling class. But it's already proving to be worth it.
My afternoons are busy, full of picking up girls from school and helping with homework, and pretending I know how to play volleyball.
I feel better.
Tonight, I'm listening to OneRepublic. They've been some of my faves since high school, and continue to make me feel inspired.
And also, I found a video that has this song played to a montage of harry potter scenes on pinterest... here. I'm not ashamed to say that it gives me goosebumps.
Two months ago I started a board on pinterest that was for my apartment inspiration. I am in the process of moving into my new grown-up apartment, and am so excited! It's coming together really well so far, and although I have no pictures yet, I wanted to blog about it. I will be posting a couple pictures of my room when it's all done, but until then... my inspiration:
