So, two weeks ago I did a little shopping venture with two of my besties. I needed shoes. AND I GOT SOME. When does THAT happen? First place I walked into & first pair I tried on. #win.
I made a little video on that shopping day, if you'd like to see what else I picked up!

the target one dolla section & my uniform of late
Oh hello there. Have you been to target lately? You haven't? Wait, who am I kidding- yes, you have. We have a lovely target near my parents house & an even lovelier one near my apartment that I can go to for whatever reason. Target has everything! Lately, I've been going for books & movies, but the past couple of weeks their one dollar section in the front of the store has been AMAZING. I cannot sing their praises enough. You need giant christmas bags? Classy glass bowls? An adult-sized elf costume? A snowflake headband? Garlands? Super trendy stationary??? Of course you do. Let me show you what I've gotten.

Lately I have been living in my zara leggings. Its gotten to the point where jeans feel like eight layers on my skin. Only leggings will do. Sorry not sorry about wearing leggings as pants. I have no shame. I found this madewell reindeer/stag sweater in the sale section & would wear it everyday if I could... wait, I have no shame. It's the perfect weight.
On ma lips is amethyst potion (Maybelline color elixir lip gloss), and I am lovin' the plumminess. I filled in my brows with benefit's brow kit. They still look pretty gnarly, but they are mine and I will love them. I'm wearing nars couer battant on my cheekies which is pretty much a dance team blush. I have to rub it in with my fingers to get it to settle down! AND YEAH. Watch the video above if you want to see all the goodies from target.
Or better yet, just go to your local target & get you some fun things.
Happy Monday!

Mini haul.
So, this all started when my macbook pro charger disintegrated last weekend. It split right down the middle and then turned a weird blue/green color. Dismayed at maybe having to pay 80$ for a new charger (seriously, apple?), I wrapped it up in electrical tape and scoffed at every other person who bought a brand new charger at this sort of problem. Well, that lasted a good three days or so before it you know- stopped working. So, I did have to get a new charger. My scoffing was in vain.
SO, yesterday I drove on down to the apple store, where I could find no parking except directly in front of Lush. Is that a sign? But still I laughed at the fates, and walked right on past Lush and directly into the apple store, where I spent 85$. Insert depression. THEN, right next door to apple is the Paper Source store. Silly me, I walked right in. You know, to buy some cute christmas presents for friends. Well, I didn't find any. But I did walk out with two journals for myself. Why? I don't know. Do I need a reason? Then after spending 20$ on journals I don't really need (hey, i might still give them as gifts, ok?), I decided. to. walk. into. lush.
Bad idea, all around. But also a good idea. Because, you know, lush.
So, incase you're wondering. I was the only one in the store because it was noon on a tuesday, and so I got the lovely store lady all to myself. Which sometimes is a bother, but since it was just the two of us, I quite enjoyed it. They always have good ideas on what to get, and what to mix! The main thing I went in for (the only thing I will allow myself to buy, I had told myself) was the Volcano foot mask because my feet are hard and callused and basically bad. Bad feet. Buuuut they had all their cute christmas things out, and I can't resist a cute christmas thing. So. Yea.
The Golden Wonder Bath Bomb, which is a blend of orange, lime, and cognac oils. After touching this, gold will follow you. As you can see on my volcano foot mask photo.
The Melting Snowman Bath Melt which literally melts in the bath... cinnamon and clove oils. Duh.
I got a free sample of their Fair Trade Foot Lotion, which the store woman told me goes wonderfully with Volcano (but no, I will not spend 20$ more! not this time...).
And I also got the Sandy Santa body butter which exfoliates amazingly apparently. Also, it was the last one in the store so I took that as a sign.
And those are the lovely journals I picked up. :)
Happy Wednesdayyyyy!

A little October Haul...
Last week I stopped into Sephora to replace my empty Detox Dry Shampoo by Drybar, and it started a chain of events. You know how those days go? I walked out of Sephora with my favorite dry shampoo (at least I got what I went for, right?), and a new lip butter by Korres. So far I am LOVING it. It's really moisturizing, and not too intense of color.
So, after I left Sephora I decided to step into Origins... why? I don't know. No pressing reason besides the fact that it was there. So while I walked in, I was like oh maybe I'll get that face wash I like. What did I leave with? Goodies. Lots of goodies. Anywho, I go on about it in the video below if you want to hear more. :)
Happy hump daaaaaaaay :)
Can you believe it's halloween tomorrow? Anyone got any good costumes?
Lush love.
If you are a beauty blogger follower then you have probably heard of Lush. No? Are you like me and weren't aware of this fresh handmade cosmetics brand? Well now you're a part of the cool crew. I finally went to Lush for the first time about a little while ago and fell in love their products. The first time I went in the store, the boyfriend was with me (getting a new wardrobe at h&m, mind you) and I thought I would have to make a quick in-and-out for his sake. It turns out that he was having just as good a time as I was. EVEN BOYS CAN GET INTO THIS. ok. I will not scream at you, I promise. But I want to, because this store is so fun. ok ok. Onto the interesting bits:
Above are my favorite lush products as of right now. I have been using Big shampoo and Retread conditioner about once a week and oh my goodness I think my hair is just as in love as I am. I get so much more volume in my fine hair that it is just ridiculous. In a good way. I also bought a cinnamon and clove shampoo bar to use when I'm not cooing over Big. I was really surprised at these little shampoo bars. They lather up so well and smell so good. The boyfriend grabbed the jumping juniper one to take with him to the gym. They are the perfect travel size.
I've bought the Sultana soap and we've been using it to wash our hands in the kitchen... every once in a while it wafts over to the living room and everyone sighs. The smell is incredible. I cannot rave enough. I've also bought porridge but I'm keeping it wrapped up until I'm out of sultana. On the package it says good enough to eat- and it's true. I bought the aqua mirabilis body butter and use it to shave my legs. The boyfriend has used it and believes it to be the softest his skin has ever felt post-shave. So, there you go. I also got the almond & coconut shower smoothie recently because my roommate has it and it smells like cake batter. That vanilla smell. mmm. I also picked up a foot scrub because my feet are horrible. I won't even get into it. They need drastic help.
The last thing I bought is the Sex Bomb bath bomb. I was sold when the sales woman told me that the flower opens when you put it in the bath. SO i will be saving this for a special occasion. Good gracious.
Have you been to lush?? If you have what's your favorite thing? I cannot go back for a good while (because I can easily spend all of my money), but when I do I want to try new things!! (cough cough- addict)

A little late for a blue jean vest? No? Good.
The weekend passed. As it always does. I did find out some very exciting news last week, but I think I will keep it under wraps until I come to terms with it myself. Eep. The boyfriend got out of class at seven yesterday, and I made him labor away taking photos & videos for me before we ate dinner at our favorite spot. I bought this blue jean vest at GAP along with some cute ankle trousers that will be debuting sometime soon. I had a 30% off coupon and the vest was on sale so how could I say no?I couldn't.
I know summer is almost over, but I'm thinking I'm going to transition this bad boy into fall.
It'll work.

So, as you can see we got some work done. My goodness look at my freckles and moles! The curse of having pale skin. It's also time to get acquainted with my other sunglasses. The black aren't doing it for me as much anymore.
Happy Tuesday, ladies!

Beauty Haul
I have made another youtube video of things I've purchased in the past month! If you are interested in hauls, or things in general, then you should watch the above video. ^^^
In other news, it is my roommate's birthday today! Happy birthday Roomie! It's our last birthday we will share living together! ;(
Happy Friday!

What I'm buying lately...
This summer I dedicated my shopping time to finding a perfect summer dress. I don't think I found it yet. But I did get some that are pretty darn close to what I imagined. So you can imagine I'm not too upset about it. I also told myself at the beginning of summer no more shorts. NONE. NO MORE. I have too many! But, I floundered and bought the perfect pair of jean shorts from j crew. I am so glad I got em' when they were on sale because I wear them a.lot. Try every day. Wrinkles are my friend. The linen tees from j crew are also a fav summer choice for me... i bought one late spring and it got holes upon holes in it and i was so upset! But I got another one when they were on sale and so far so good. I'm thinking it was my washer?? Ain't nobody got time for holes in new shirts.
Have y'all seen these triangl bikinis?? I fell hard for them, but didn't want to drop 99$ for a swimsuit...until i broke down and did ha ha ha. Alas, it was too small in the chest area. BUT it was so cute. (I am still sad about it. But hello $$$)

Summer Goal.
Us Houstoners have a beach... its down in Galveston. It looks like this, and this, and this! And I love that beach and town for a couple reasons. But the murky water is not one of them. One of my goals this summer is to go to a legit beach for a legit amount of time (aka more than a 2 day weekend). I don't care if I have to spend a chunk of my summer savings- I'm going! I pushed for Greece but none of my friends bit for something like budgetary reasons... ;)
But, look guys, I got a hat! Please take me to a beach! I'll look like a real beach bum! I promise!
Do I seem desperate?
;)
...because I am...
I'm excited..
I'm officially a Mac baby! Sorry PCs everywhere.. I still love you... kinda.
HappyHappyHappyHappy.
Excuse my little messy collage of instagrams. I'm still new to this mac stuff (and I seem to have limited patience this morning).
Anyways.. I've been keeping pretty busy lately with an internship, a job, and finals. I love it though.
The past couple of weeks have flown by, and now I only have 2 finals left!
Me & the boy got to sneak away from studying and get lunch at a little italian place we'd never tried before. Yum! I find myself taking a lot of rando pictures when I need to study.. nothing like procrastinating through instagram. I got to take my momma to swirl for the first time ever! My dad is the next victim. I also introduced my roomie to CFA breakfast (best EVER), and to a beignet place that I have a feeling is going to become our go-to place. Beignets are so good. I got some gorgeous new flowers for my room, but I'm scared they're attracting bugs... so... after this I'm going to have to get some anti-bug plant..
Me & the boy also went to a Ron Paul rally on campus that was interesting. I'm not a very political person, so it was interesting to go and be a third person observer.
Now I need to start studying for my third final I guess...
or I could eat lunch first... yeah.
mo money mo problems.
There is nothing harder for me in the world than spending money (sometimes). I tend to shop in bursts rather than a little here and a little there. Over the past couple of months I've been collecting little prints and paintings that I want to buy for my room on my Artzy Pinterest Board. I've found a bunch that I love, and now am itching to buy them! Here's the round-up:
Now to start buying... one at a time... so painful. ;)
POPphone
Oh hey, long time no see.
Hopefully I will start blogging like a real blogger again soon.
Until then.... I will pretend like I'm a real blogger.
I made a somewhat silly purchase a couple weeks ago, but am quite pleased with it!
Surprisingly my boyfriend and my mom both want one too!
Ha!
What is it?
a POP phone!
It plugs in to your cell phone and laptop (and really makes talking way more fun). Fo realz.
It also makes taking pictures way more fun! And it's a cute color. Wins all around.
The boyfriend wants one in black.
Soooooooooo fun.
I usually don't spend on random purchases I don't technically need, but... it does eliminate 99% of absorbed radiation from cell phones, so.... why not?
I love it.
The end.
