A dress under a skirt.

On a day when my laundry was in piles on the floor, I had to get imaginative.
I have this red dress that looks cute when belted, but when it's going free it's not that flattering.
So I didn't want to wear a sweater over it (it's freakin hot in texas y'all), and it was a little overpowering by itself in all it's red glory.
So I put a skirt over it instead.

It was a little weird, and red and black put together isn't my favorite color combo.
But I kind of liked how the dress poked out at the bottom, adding a little frill.
It was fun for a day
Maybe I'll wear this look again, with different colors, and maybe it'll be more me.

CUPCAKES.
Chocolate cupcakes with vanilla icing on top.
This is a little taste of my next photo assignment that I did today with one of my friends. I can't wait to get all the pictures up!
Last night I also did some photos in the dark, messing with lighting and shutter speed. They came out kind of interesting! I'm happy about them. They will be posted this week, along with an outfit post of what I wore yesterday! Look at me, preparing for my blog. ;)

I have a test on Thursday that I am not prepared for at all. So that's what I'll be doing from now until thursday morning.

In other news I watched Eat Pray Love and Dear John this weekend. Surprisingly I was pleased with both of them. I was scared Dear John would make me cry like a little baby (It didn't). Eat, Pray, Love was a lovely story and Javier Bardem is sooooo great. I love him. Penelope Cruz is so lucky.

Have a great week, loves!

The weekend!

My roommate went out of town this morning, and left me a little note. ;)
This weekend will be spent at an arts festival, taking photos of a friend for class, and studying for my test next week. FUN.
Today was spent taking care of my sicky boyfriend. He has a sinus infection! Oh no! By taking care I mean moral support. There's not much I can do for a sinus infection besides making him stay hydrated, and not move too much (which I did!).

Hope you all have a marvelous weekend!

Camping in a 7 minute video.

This is what our spring break camping adventure looked like. It was so fun to make this video, even though it is so long and it took me forever (I was too lazy to edit as much as I wanted to!)!!

I'll be doing a guest post for Jen soon, so keep an eye out! I'll actually be in my pictures! ;)

PS my roommate is the one narrating a lot of the clips. Just incase you're curious!
PPS we dance alot.

EDIT: uploaded to vimeo, so hopefully you can see. :)

Texas Camping.

Is the bomb dot com.
Seven of us drove up past Austin to a little recreational camping area, and had such a great week!
We tent camped, hiked, fished, cliff jumped, and star gazed at night.
The only thing that stunk was the dirt under the fingernails. Seriously, welcome to the country.
I don't know if you know this but, I am a camping lovah! I went camping for the first time when I was 6 months old and I've gone every year since then. I can't stop.
But this was the first time I've tent camped without mi familia.
It went well.
The boy also turned 21!
We slept a lot too. :)

I have one more day of Spring Break, and I really couldn't be more sad. I just got into my vacation mode and now it's over! Only a month and a half until summer! Hope you all had a great break (or have a great break if it's this week)!

PS: Up next will be our compiled camping videos into one! Keep an eye out, you won't wanna miss it. ;)

Sunday.

First of all, it's hard to write about my weekend while hearing about all the horrible things going on in Japan, and around the world. My heart hurts for those missing their loved ones.
One of my friends is studying abroad in Tokyo, and luckily she's alright. I have yet to donate, but I hope to do that today. Please keep Japan and the other affected places in your thoughts!

This was my weekend:

Puzzles, baby turtles, and dogs oh my!
My mom found a baby turtle while gardening! We released it back where she found it, and hopefully it's making its way back to momma turtle. Hopefully momma turtle won't stick around (snapping turtles are scary!). I also finished a puzzle last night that had lasted me a couple weekends! That was pretty much the highlight of my weekend. A great way to start off spring break! Today the boyfriend is coming over and we're going to practice pitching a tent because... we're going camping all this week!! I'm so excited! I camp a lot, but only with my family. A group of my friends will be joining us, and I can't wait to hike and feel the glorious Texas spring air.

I hope you all had a good weekend, and have fun this week!

It was a beautiful, albeit cold, day here in Texas. My outfit wasn't made for the wind, but this batman kite was! This week for photography class we had to do a photographic series, where each photo leads up to the next. I'm not sure if mine is exactly that, but we had fun anyways. We had a wonderful lunch at Barnaby's restaurant, even though they were out of chocolate cupcakes (a felony? I think so.), and then made our way to target to buy this 3$ kite. I'm in disbelief at how beautiful it was today! It was supposed to rain, Mr. Weatherman! I hope you all enjoyed your day as well.
Tomorrow will be spent studying for my surprise test on Monday (I really need to start checking schedules more often), Church, and celebrating the roomie's half-birthday... she's French, and apparently they do that. It's a good excuse for cupcakes anyways!

...And incase you're wondering.. that's my jacket the boyfriend is wearing. He's a big baby when it get's a bit chilly outside, and he forgot his jacket.
