30 Things Before I'm 30

A couple days ago, I was reading this blog post by The Fashion Therapist, and it really got me thinking.
What do I want to accomplish before I'm 30?
Lately I've been thinking about my goals, and aspirations in life. What are they, and where are they going to lead me? I'm generally pretty terrified of change, but some of my biggest risks have ended up as some of the highlights of my life.
Take the boyfriend, for instance, who had just gotten out of a relationship and was seemingly (he says he wasn't) on the rebound (I mean, come on, no one wants to be that girl). But, we had fun together, and I thought "Why not?", the worst that could happen is that we'd break up in a month or so.
People do say that the best things in life stem from risk-taking.
In my Junior Year of high school, I got an amazing opportunity to go to Europe with a group of 30 teenagers, and one of my best friends.
My passport barely made it in time, and while I was waiting for it I couldn't help but thinking maybe I just shouldn't go and I probably won't have fun, anyways.
Oh, man. I'm glad I didn't listen to myself.
Europe was the best experience of my life.
So, while I'm thinking of all this, I got curious. I've started to make my own list of things I'd like to accomplish before I'm 30. It's scary to write them down because I know it'll be in my wallets for the next ten years!

I'd be really interested to read what y'all want to accomplish in the next ten years too! So leave a comment (if only to give me ideas!). ;)

Photo Assignment #5

This weeks photography assignment was to learn to use White Balance in different settings.
My roommate so graciously accepted my begging to be a model for me. These classes, while sometimes seem boring, are really helping me gather inspiration for future photoshoots. Obviously at the moment I am a poor, timeless college student whose trying to figure out what to do with her life.
I don't have much time for photoshoots.
Hopefully this summer will be full of fun pictures, and hopefully a new film camera. I'm addicted to film.

I have to say that I'm really happy with how a lot of them turned out. :)
And where would you be without pictures of the photographer?

Can you tell that I need to do laundry? I've worn this skirt a ton this week. Thank you 12$ dollars to the GAP.
By the way, yes, it is warm enough to wear a tank. Texas is the best [unless you feel cheated out of winter].
I took a test this morning, and it had a 100 questions. WHAT? It wasn't a final, just a regular midterm. It was crazy. I got a B+, so I really can't complain.. but seriously... way to freak me out.
Hope y'all are having a good weekend. :)

Cheese.

I want to write some cheesy song lyrics to put here. Okay, not cheesy, but deep and profound. You know, like something off of Adele's new album. But I'm afraid if I did that I would feel cheesy. I'm not a cheesy girl, unless it comes from the boyfriend (don't worry, it usually doesn't).

We're an odd pair. He's blunt, and logical, and a thinker. I'm emotional, and stubborn, and definitely a feeler.
A good match. (Most of the time- hah).
Somehow he ended up being my best friend.

I'm incredibly blessed.
And terrified.
I guess that's the beauty of it all.

Oh hello Thursday night.

This weekend..

I played with my camera flash.
I hung out with my boyfriend (this one is applicable everyday...).
I got to see my favorite girl in the world. She's pretty much my sister. I've known her since she was two years old. We were neighbors, and now we're family.
She's obsessed with popsicles, and so she made me drive her to the local fruit palette for a pop. She's a bit strange, but I love her. Whatevs.

So Valentines Day day went as planned. I didn't get to see the boyfriend at all...
until 12:02 a.m February 15th.
When I received a responding text to the one I sent asking if he was home.
"Home is where the heart is. Open your door."
And he was there with balloons and chocolates.
What a cheeseball.
(I got all jumpy like we were on a first date. Embarrassing.)

How's your weekend going? (:
Happy Valentines Day

Hope you all are spending it with your loved ones!
I am spending it with my textbook and my classmates.
I had a test this morning and a test on Thursday morning. Eek!
I'm already tested out. This is bad.

Happy Valentines!

Super Bowl Sunday

So who else is not going to be watching the super bowl? I will be watching lectures for my online class (hopefully). It's time to start being more productive. It is too easy for me to sit in my apartment and watch tv or get on facebook. So today I start being productive. I will, however, take a break to watch Glee because it's my guilty pleasure.
I have one problem when it comes to school. If it's too easy, then I shut down. I don't have the ability to just study all day when the material isn't hard, or if there's not much material.
So this semester I plan on studying anyways, no matter how easy I think it might be. Why not? I have nothing better to do.
So today, I took the first step and applied to two on-campus jobs. Hopefully, at least one of them will give me a response back. My plan for the rest of the week is to finish my photographer application for the school newspaper, review notes for all of my classes, learn about some new features on my camera, and watch online lectures for my online class. This list won't be hard to do. The hard thing is just making yourself do it.
So I hope you all are also productive this week. :)
Happy Superbowl Sunday!

Please ignore the nasty bruise on my leg. I'm pretty clumsy. Especially in the dark. When there are big objects around. Like tables...and beds...and dressers... (;

A little inspiration for the rest of the week.

So I've had this idea forming in my head.
I want to go take advantage of my camera.
With the boy in tow.
My mind is very specific. I know what I want, even if I don't always know how to get it.
It's good and bad.
I thought I'd show you some of my inspiration.
So, enjoy. :)

I'm in love.
Sometimes all you need is a pretty picture.
