iRead.

Besides watching bad TV shows (well, some of them are good... i swear), I've found myself delving into reading and writing more. I started War and Peace, but then I saw Anna & The french kiss on sale for two bucks last Sunday. So... I bought it. I haven't read a purely "romance" book in a looooooonnggg time. But it was cute, and fun, and light. So I got lola and the boy next door which is of a similar theme. Really cute books, and I finished them almost incredibly fast. So on that note, I ventured over to B&N a couple days ago and spent my Christmas/Graduation gift cards up on a couple different books! So far I've only read The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight. I enjoyed it too! It wasn't purely about a boy, but rather a father/daughter relationship. Which was nice! Yay sentimentality! The next books I'm about to read are not light. Hullo Jane Eyre, I'm lookin' at you. I'm excited to read it because I never have before! Then I can watch the movie that has the girl from alice in wonderland, whom i love.

Enough book talk. Wait. Is there ever enough book talk? I don't think there is. I went on a book talk bender on the way to galveston last weekend with my friend who is reading books I've already read. I suddenly realized that I haven't gotten to talk about them at all because I don't know anyone else reading right now! What! Everyone is still stuck on game of thrones books, I feel like. CATCH UP TO ME, FRIENDS!

Galveston Beach Pt 2

More Galveston pictures! It was such a beautiful day and I kind of wish we had spent more time and brought chairs to chill in. Day trips are the best. This week I am desperately trying to not get the flu. My throat has been burning for a couple days, and I'm hoping that it is just allergies! Please, please, please be allergies. My last two physical therapy appointments are also happening this week and thankfully my back feels a toooooonnn better. It had been hurting me since October, so I am very very grateful for the final relief.

Happy Wednesday! :)

Galveston Beach Pt 1

On Saturday morning me and one of my friends headed down to G-town to hang out with another one of our friends who goes to school down there. We got mexican food for lunch and discussed TV shows (homeland, gossip girl, game of thrones, etc.). Can't go wrong with a lunch full of tv gossip. Eventually we headed down to the beach to relax a bit. I spent the rest of the weekend with hart of dixie. How do I keep getting sucked into these TV shows?! I finished Freaks & Geeks in what seemed like two days (although it is only one season). ANYHOW. :)

Happy Monday!

downton ABBEY.

For the premiere of Downton Abbey's Season 3, some family friends threw a Downton Abbey themed party. We had Cora, Mary, Bates, Martha Levinson, and I was Daisy. The boyfriend didn't totally dress up, but he was Branson.

I didn't have any long dresses, so I had to use my graduation dress. To add some more length I found a long vintage slip. With the apron on top it looked like part of my dress. Funnily enough I got this vintage apron for Christmas from one of my best friends. It's like she knew I would immediately have an occasion to wear it. And it almost matched my dress!

We watched Downton and I realized I missed the last episode last season... so.much.changed. So I have some rewinding to do.

Happy Thursday!

My weekend was the ultimate relaxed weekend, and I think I'm finally feeling rejuvenated from the holidays. Which, if you were my mom, you would think is absurd. BUT, I am 22 and need hibernating time, okay? In this period of relaxed state, I played around with these new years videos of mine. I'm getting the hang of this editing thing, and am looking forward to some new editing projects coming my way. :)

In the mean time, please watch my friends and I almost get blown up by luminous fireworks.

December iPhone Recap.

Man, being unemployed and not in school is weird. By unemployed- I mean I am in full-time unemployment. I am still in a part time career- hah. Someday hopefully soon I will join the ranks of the busies. Until then. Let me shower you in iPhone photos from last month. :)

I think out of all these photos (and I must say- I love all of them), the last two are my favorites. My little friends are little fake hipsters. I have never been so proud, even if it took a tacky christmas party (and borrowing my glasses) to bring it out of them. Of course I love the one of me and the boyfriend, and I LOVE the one of me and Audrey, since we only get one picture a year. Hey girl, lets change that, k?

And I believe this is the end of my December photo posts. Finally catching up to current months. I'm on top of this blogging thing, guys.

Graduation Style.

Graduation was last month, and I'm only just now getting around to editing photos/showing y'all what I wore. :) Going into looking for a graduation dress (not that I wore it much in hindsight due to the number of hours between graduation and the party...), I had no idea what I wanted. Yes, I could go with school colors.. but I didn't want to be cheesy. Also, since my graduation was in December, it had to be somewhat warm (or able to be worn with tights). Then I looked at Madewell, and all was lost to this dress. Subtle hints of red for my school colors? Done! Then I wore purple tights... not very classic, but oh well- they pop! Found beautiful wedges at J Crew. Aaaaand I was done for. So. Quite the expensive Graduation outfit, but I have re-worn the dress and shoes already so win win!

Took these photos instead of a classic grad photo.. :)

Graduation Wear Graduation Wear Graduation Wear And that's it for graduation news..!

 Happy Monday!

In limbo.

Now that I am newly graduated and out of college, I'm hanging on to my part-time job and glancing hesitantly at the next horizon. Something will reveal itself in time, but right now I'm enjoying my own personal productivity. Kind of weird how something as simple as walking across a stage can give you so much freedom! Yay post-grad life! I know I may not always feel this way- like when I get a real job. But until then, I will be writing my thank-you cards, and watching the o.c., and outlining a story I've gotten in my head. I will also be enjoying spending time with the boyfriend because he goes back to school and work next week. Wah. :)
ranch2013final1

I took these photos at my friend's ranch. It is truly a beautiful place. It rained all weekend so the gloom made it almost more magical that it already is. I can't wait to go back and use it to it's full potential! So many photos to be taken and photoshoots to be had! Don't know if you can tell, but I totally took advantage of some photo filters for the pink edge effect. hah. Really fun. Will be doing more with those later. (:
ranch2013final2 Can't believe its already Friday! Hope you all have a wondrous weekend!

Still in a holidaze.

I'm kind of in disbelief at how quickly the past three weeks went by. I graduated on the twenty-first of December, and then it was Christmas eve, and then Christmas, and then more Christmas with friends and siblings, one of my niece's birthdays, and then New Years! I am finally home for good, and totally exhausted.

I've put together the rest of our Gingerbread making session videos. We didn't do too well on baking the cookies (most came out burnt), but we sure did decorate them!..... :)
